Nightmares

Nightmares are terrifying. We have all have had them, some have them more than others. I am not one that has too many nightmares, but I remember this one quite well.

It was pitch black, and I was in an exact replica of my room. The bed, the walls, the wood floor, the clothes on the floor, everything was exactly like it was in real life. I was in my bed, lying there, curled up in a loose ball. My thoughts were floating around like always. All of a sudden, I felt large hands grab my ankles. I start kicking and thrashing, I tried to scream, but my throat was dry, no noise pierced the silence. The gruesome hands began to drag me out of bed onto the floor. I dug my nails into the wood floor, grabbing onto anything that I could. The intruder flipped me onto my side, I tried to reach for the door handle. Just then I woke up, I bolted up out of bed and freaked out. It was not one of my coolest dreams, but it was the most terrifying dream I have ever had, so realistic.

I hope you like the update. If you want, you can respond with some of your nightmares... or not, your choice.

  1. I hate nightmares! I actually had one a few nights ago. I was in a house I've never seen before and my parents were just walking around, then I went in to what was suppose to be my room. All of a sudden the lights kept turning on and off and I kept seeing an image of someone when they would turn off. I can't really remember the rest of my nightmare, but I did wake up with the feeling that someone was trying to kill me in it. I was so scared when I woke up!

  2. Do you know if there's a specific reason why we have certain nightmares? Are you going to put a post on it?

  3. I once had a nightmare where my dog got cancer and was slowly dying. This has to be one of the worst nightmares I ever had because I love my dog! She is like my best friend! Why do you think peoples' nightmares are specifically directed toward their direct fears? Why do we even have nightmares?

  5. That is quite the frightening experience! I remember when I was younger, much much younger, I had this dream that my Barbie suddenly grew to life size and came after me with an ax. I wouldn't play with my dolls for weeks, it was terrible.

  6. I actually don't get nightmares that often anymore. When I was a child I would get them more frequently. I believe it's because I have less fears now or probably cause I see the world differently than before. But, I still remember this similar night terror that I had and woke up believing it did happen.
One night I dreamed someone's cold had touched my arm, and that's what woke me up. I looked around, frozen in my bed believing this one person touched my arm. I stayed up for like to hours without moving just because I thought someone's cold hand grabbed my arm. Crazy me, I will never forget that.
