Déjà vu is challenging to replicate in the lab, so it is difficult for psychologist to understand more about it. But, some researchers found a possibly way to study déjà vu, hypnosis.

My mother's crazy spiritual and they actually believe in reincarnation until you've served your purpose and deja vu is reenacting something from your past life. They have a lot of interesting concepts that seem a little silly to most people but I find them fascinating.
