Dreaming and awareness can sometimes be blended together. Like, when you are lying in bed, then this fish appears and starts to float around your room. But the question is, are you awake or asleep? You are probably thinking “of course I am asleep”. But this is the blending of reality and fiction. This blending is a hallucination. Hallucinations are defined as perceptions in a conscious and awake state in the absence of external stimuli which have qualities of real perception, in that they are vivid, substantial, and located in external objective space.

This happens to be all the time when im dazing off about to fall asleep.I find it so weird and intriguing the things people can hallucinate about. I feel as though everything is so random when it comes to hallucinations.
ReplyDeleteA lot of ghost sightings are actually sleep induced hallucinations. It's incredibly unfortunate because it throws off the stories that have the potential to be fact. I've never had a sleep hallucination and I'm glad. It'd likely be a frightening experience that would keep me awake for days.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when i get hallucinations. It always happens when I wander off and always has me thinking if it really happened or if I am just going crazy.
ReplyDeleteEvery once in a while I have a sleep hallucination, and it's not all that fun. I can't really describe it, but it's really annoying and scary. When I wake up, I'm all confused because I don't know if what just happened was a dream or reality.
