Dreams and sleep go hand in hand, and sleeping is always a pleasure. But sometimes sleeping can be challenging. So there are ways to relax before sleeping. Like, concentrating on your breathing, the idea is similar to meditation, but slightly different. Meditation is used for rising awareness level and for relaxing, while this is just for relaxing. By focusing on your breathing you concentrate on a rhythmic motion that helps you relax. By doing so you are ridding your mind of troubling thoughts, relaxing, and eventually falling asleep.

  1. I do not completely agree with this. Whenever I have tried to concentrate on breathing I find it harder to go asleep. It makes my mind start thinking and I am then concentrated on something else but sleep.

  2. Every night before I go to sleep, I focus on one Idea I have in mind and that would make it easier for me to start sleeping. Sometimes, when my energy is not wasted completely I don't want to sleep, but I must, I practice breathing exercises it really helps.

  3. Focusing on my breathing usually does not help me when I’m trying to fall asleep. I become, I guess, too focused that I can’t fall asleep. So what I usually do is just try to clear my mind and listen too the sounds around me, such as the music playing from my brothers room or the sounds of the trees swaying in the wind outside my window.
